Welcome to our summer football camps update! As we now enter the third week of the summer holidays, it's a great time to reflect on what we've been up to over the past two weeks. This summer, we're running five weeks of football camps designed to offer as much football action as possible, including new games, training sessions, futsal training, and more.
One of our key goals is to provide all our players with the opportunity to meet professional players, learn about their journeys, and capture memorable moments through photos.
Highlights from Weeks 1-2
- Performance Camps Attendance: We've had over 40 players attending each day across our Performance Camps.
- First Female Performance Camp: We hosted our first female performance camp with 25 players in attendance, who had the exciting opportunity to meet Tara Kirk from Peterborough United.
- Talent Identification: Three players were identified and offered trials/academy events.
- 4CS Academy Opportunities: Several players were identified for the 4CS Academy and received offers.
What’s Coming Up?
We have some fantastic events lined up for the upcoming weeks:
- James Dornelly Visit: James Dornelly from Peterborough United will be visiting our Performance Camp to meet the players, share his journey, and sign autographs. James recently won the EFL trophy with Peterborough at Wembley.
- Simeon Jackson Event: We're thrilled to announce a one-day event with Simeon Jackson, who has played for several clubs including Norwich in the Premier League. Simeon will be running three training sessions focusing on finishing, which will be offered to U9s-U12s. In addition to the training, there will be other practices and games throughout the day.
