This year's 4CS Christmas Camp marked a milestone as 30 young players gathered for an exciting blend of football games, thrilling challenges, and a surprise visit from a local Professional Player. Amongst the enthusiastic attendees was Reuben Marshall, a professional player from Peterborough United, who graciously dedicated time to meet the aspiring players.
Hailing from Cambridge, Reuben shared his remarkable journey, illustrating his transition from grassroots and local teams to the pinnacle of professional football. His presence not only delighted the kids but also offered a tangible example of how dreams can materialise even while playing for a grassroots team.
The interaction with Reuben Marshall left an indelible impact on the youngsters, highlighting the possibilities within Cambridgeshire and beyond. It served as a testament that with dedication and perseverance, aspiring players can elevate themselves to professional levels, regardless of their initial team affiliations.
In line with fostering such dreams, the 4CS U10 PPP Team was launched, aiming to provide players with extensive training, exposure to high-quality sessions, and opportunities to compete against reputable opponents, scouts, and seasoned coaches. This is why we will be releasing more age groups for September 2024.
Excitingly, the success of the Christmas Camp has paved the way for upcoming events. Future camps are scheduled for all half-terms and the summer, promising more engaging activities and perhaps even more surprise guests.
