On Friday, 8th March, 4cornersport had the privilege of partnering with Stapleford Community Primary School to deliver an exciting day of football as part of the FA's #LetGirlsPlay event. The aim of the event was to promote inclusion and encourage girls' participation in football, aligning with the theme of International Women's Day 2024, "Inspire Inclusion."
Throughout the day, we had the pleasure of engaging with nearly 260 pupils ranging from nursery to year 6. Our goal was to provide fun, engaging, and inclusive football sessions that catered to all skill levels and abilities. With a total of 18 sessions delivered, we ensured that every participant had the opportunity to join in and experience the joy of playing football.
One of our coaches, Sammy, shared their thoughts on the day: "The setup for the pupils across the day was excellent, with a huge variety of participation across the year groups and what was on offer. I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, with everyone having a smile on their face and actively taking part throughout the day. It was a very successful day, and it was great to be a part of it."
